Rep. Peggy Scott

Representative Peggy S. Scott

Peggy is a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives representing Anoka County in the northern Twin Cities metropolitan area.  She has also been a small business owner, previously operating a real estate investment company with her husband.  Peggy graduated from Lowthian College, in Minneapolis, in 1983, majoring in fashion merchandising.  

Prior to her responsibilities in the Minnesota House, Peggy was also active in her community, serving on the Andover Parks and Recreation Commission, and coaching youth soccer and basketball.  She is currently involved with the women's and youth ministry programs at her church and has served as an after-school care coordinator at the congregation's school.  She is happily married and the proud Mother of two Children. 

Peggy was also the Sponsor of a 2012 Shared Parenting Bill which passed the Minnesota Legislature with over 68% of the total vote, before being vetoed by Governor Mark Dayton.  Peggy shared her beliefs on the veto in this article.
