Antonia Di Leo, Ms, Ed, LMFT

Antonia has been practicing mental health counseling for over 10 years in a variety of settings such as foster care, juvenile justice facilities, crisis line, families living with someone with a mental illness and victims of Hurricane Sandy. Her experience working with individuals in crisis has led her to her path of working with couples in couples counseling as well as couples discerning their marriage. The objective of her work is to guide couples to the best path for them as well as their family.

She offers multiple perspectives on shared parenting as her parents were divorced, she is now divorced and raising children in a shared parenting situation as well as working in the field as a licensed marriage and family therapist and is certified in divorce mediation. She is also studying a new form of counseling called discernment counseling where a couple that is ambivalent about divorce partakes in 1-5 sessions to choose an appropriate path for them. Antonia also started Second Saturday workshops in Manhattan and will be presenting the emotional piece. This workshop consists of three parts; it provides financial, legal and emotional information to women working through a divorce. The focus is to empower women and provide trustworthy professionals through the divorce process. All her work now personal and professional reinforces the importance of shared parenting and the beauty of having children being loved and cared for by both parents.
