Representative Elizabeth Poirier
Representative Poirier represents the people of the 14th Bristol District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives where she has held office since 1999.
In 2009, the Republican Minority Leader appointed her to be a part of his leadership team as the Assistant Minority Whip, a position she still holds. Also, she was honored to be appointed, by the Speaker of the House, as a State Director for Women in Government and served a 2-year term (only 2 women from each state are chosen). She also participates in the Women's Caucus, is a member of the House Ethics Committee and is actively involved in her community with Veterans, Elders, Scouting groups, Foster Children programs and the local Food Pantry---to name a few.
Representative Poirier understands the issues of Family Law well and has previously co-sponsored Shared Parenting bills. She has three grown sons and four grandchildren.
